The parish room is finished
After six weeks of work and rather more dust than anyone anticipated, the parish room is open again.
The floor has been replaced, the heating actually works, and the small kitchen has been refitted with a new boiler, a fridge and enough crockery that we no longer have to borrow from the hall.
The work was paid for entirely by a legacy from the late Kathleen Byrne, who worshipped here for over fifty years and who left the parish a gift for exactly this sort of thing. There is a small plaque by the door.
The coffee morning returns to the room from this Wednesday, and the Bible study and the SVP from next week. Anyone wanting to hire it should speak to Angela in the office.
